Serpentine belts appear to be in good condition, are free of cracks and are quiet. – Engine oil leaking at oil pan gasket / L3 and at oil cooler seal / L3. Recommend replacing both gaskets with necessary oil service, and inspection engine oil pan for damage, if damage found oil pan will also need to be replaced. – Transmission cooler lines leaking transmission fluid / L3. Transmission fluid full at this time. Recommend replacing transmission cooler lines and topping off fluid. ***Further Damage Possible*** – Power steering rack assembly leaking power steering fluid on both sides of rams / L2 – L3. Fluid was found full at this time. Recommend replacing power steering rack and outer tie rod ends then sending out for necessary alignment. – Rear shocks leaking oil / L3. Pass jounce test. Recommend replacing both rear shocks. – Found both rear window switches not working. Found driverdoor master window switch works fine.     • TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Vehicle drove well. "Low oil pressure" warning came on during test drive. No ticking noises heard. Oil pressure gauge went to zero. Cycled key and pressure went back to 30-40 psi. Issue only happened once during test drive. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; Check engine light. – Scanned computer control modules & found codes; ECM/PCM **P0521 for engine oil pressure sensor performance (current) – Inspected & found; Performed fault tracing as outlined related to code. Removed oil pressure sensor & screen, found screen has debris / L2 – L3. Verified connector on sensor good. Jumped grey wire to tan/ black wire and found scan tool showing 90 psi. Verified circuit was good. Fault tracing shows first step related to this issue would be to start by replacing the oil pressure sensor and screen, based on findings. Then if issue returns/persists then fault tracing indicates the next step is to replace the VLOM Assembly (valve lift oil manifold). – Note: VLOM assembly is known to leak oil pressure internally into engine assembly – Recommends; Starting with replacing the oil pressure sending unit/sensor and screen. Then retesting. If issue persists then the next step is to replace the VLOM assembly. ***FURTHER DAMAGE POSSIBLE***
    • TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 290,000 miles. – Engine oil level & condition; Full. Good. – Oil leaking at oil cooler seal / L3. Engine oil is dripping off the transmission onto the ground. Recommend replacing oil cooler seal and cleaning affected area. – Front brake pads at approximately; 7mm. – Rear brake pads at approximately; 4mm, 30% = Due. Rotors rusty / L3 with lip / L3. Recommend replacing rear brakes pads and rotors. – A/C compressor clutch melted / L5. Vehicle has 285,708 miles on it.
    • Technician removed and replaced oil pressure sensor. Cleared code. Test drove vehicle. No issues present. Let idle for approximately 1/2 hour then test drove again. Let vehicle rest for about 1 hour then test drove again. Verified no oil pressure messages present on any test drives and verified related code did not return. – Note: If "low oil pressure" message returns and/or code **P0521 returns. Recommend to stop driving immediately and take to shop for further repairs.

Raised vehicle in air on lift for better access. Found rear differential oil leaking from crack at fill plug. Note: A temporary type repair was performed prior but temporary fix now leaking. Rear differential assembly case has crack where the plug inserts. – Determined / Suspect; Rear differential case has crack / L4. Temporary fix not holding well. – Recommends; Replacing rear differential assembly and related components. Found new rear differential assembly not available. Was able to source used differential assembly.

Found this part is obsolete and no longer available, unable to source new or used. Recommend sending driveline out to shop that can inspect and determine if it can be rebuilt. – Rust / L3 – L4.     • Technician removed rear wheels, brake calipers, rotors, rear driveline and rear spindles to gain access. Removed cover from used rear differential assembly, inspected gears, verified pattern set up is correct which indicates bearings are in good condition at this time. Fluid that drained out of unit was clean and in good condition. No concerns found with used assembly. Removed rear differential assembly. Installed used differential assembly with new rear differential mount and all available new screws and bolts. Note; Front differential mount not available & has been discontinued. Inspected customers front differential mount and found it to be in very good condition and fairly new looking. Reassembled all components. Filled rear differential with gear oil. Cleaned components. Test drove. Verified repair. Let vehicle sit in shop overnight. Reinspected next day, verified no leaks present. Performed additional test drives. Verified repair.

    • CUSTOMER REQUESTS THAT DIAGNOSTIC BE PERFORMED
    • TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Vehicle drove well and shifted well. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; Check engine and start/stop service required message. – Scanned computer control modules & found code; **P1404 for EGR valve close position performance. – Inspected & found; Followed fault tracing per code. Cleared codes per fault tracing. Reset adaption calibration to zero, found code repost within a few minutes of engine running at idle. Performed EGR valve self test, found valve opens and closes but does not close all the way. Reading should show 0% but shows 2 to 3%. – Determined / Suspect; EGR valve not fully closing, seat likely full of carbon or valve is internally faulty. – Note: EGR valve is currently on national back order of an estimated 4-6 weeks. – Recommends; Starting with removing EGR valve and cleaning pintle seat then retest. If code returns then the EGR valve will need to be replaced along with necessary coolant. (note: part is currently on national backorder)
    • TECHNICIAN – Inspected operation & found; No windshield washer sprayer action. Could hear pump running. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None related. – Scanned computer control modules & found; None related. – Inspected & found; Verified fluid reservoir full of clear water like liquid. Found main supply hose disconnected at driver side spray nozzle. Snapped hose back into place. Verified sprayer nozzles working. – Determined / Suspect; Components were not connected properly. Working once all components were connected. – Recommends; Draining out water in reservoir and filling with proper winter washer fluid.
    • BRAKE SYSTEM – INSPECT FRONT & REAR AXLE FLUID – INSPECT PCV VALVE – INSPECT SUSPENSION SYSTEM – INSPECT – [Inspect front suspension, tie rod ends, boot seals and replace if necessary.] CABIN AIR FILTER – REPLACE – Inspected and found full of debris / L3 = Due. Recommend replacing cabin air filter. ENGINE OIL – REPLACE – Inspected and found engine oil life counter shows 80%. Oil change sticker shows oil change is past due. Recommend changing engine oil if sticker is correct and oil service is past due. SPARK PLUGS – REPLACE – Inspected and found; Spark plugs worn / L3 – L4 = Past Due. Recommend performing engine tuneup with replacement of all spark plugs, necessary gasket, throttle body and fuel injection services. **Further Damage Possible**
    • TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 107,192 miles. – Engine oil level & condition; Dash counter shows at 80% oil life. – Front brake pads at approximately; 4mm, 30% = Due. Rotors have hot spots / L3. Components do not appear to be lubricated / L5. Recommend replacing front brake pads and rotors. **SAFETY CONCERN** – Rear brake pads at approximately; 2-3mm, 10-20% = Past Due. Rotors have hot streaking / L3. Recommend replacing rear brakes pads and rotors. **SAFETY CONCERN** – Brake fluid dark and dirty / L3 = Due. Recommend performing brake fluid service. – Rear wiper blade tip coming apart / L4. Recommend replacing rear wiper blade. – Left front tire has steel belts showing on inner tread / L5. Tread separation has started / L4. Front tread approximately 1/32. Rear tread approximately 7/32. *** SAFETY CONCERN *** VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN UNTIL NEW TIRES ARE INSTALLED ***
