    • TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; At idle engine running very rough / L4. Could hear thud type noise from passenger side of engine area. Could hear noise on sudden stops and on acceleration. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None. – Scanned computer control modules & found; No codes. – Inspected & found; Had helper perform power braking in shop and found both engine and transmission mounts weak and allow excessive movement of engine and transmission assembly. Found lower torque mount cracked through with rubber pushed out of metal housing / L5. – Verified no misfires present during test drive and with scan tool. Spark plugs appear fairly new. – Determined / Suspect; Worn mounts causing issue. Suspect issue may be related to front end collision. – Recommends; Starting with replacing both hydraulic engine and transmission mounts and replacing the torque mount. Then retesting. Recommend taking to body shop for evaluation related to collision damage and this issue. *** SAFETY AND FURTHER DAMAGE CONCERNS – DO NOT RECOMMEND DRIVING VEHICLE UNTIL REPAIRS ARE PERFORMED ***

    • TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; No related drive ability issues. Did find reverse seemed slow to engage. Vehicle drove well. Ac blowing warm air. Heard rotational knocking type noise / L2 – L3 at idle and when driving, louder at idle. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None related. – Scanned computer control modules & found; No codes. – Inspected & found; A/c compressor clutch not coming on. Via scan tool vverified pcm is commanding operation. Checked power through relay and fuses, found no issues. Checked connector, had 14 volts and good ground. Checked continuity in a/c clutch, found system/circuit open. Found a/c clutch burnt up. Inspected for noise, listened with stethoscope and found noise coming from a/c compressor / L4. With ac compressor failure suspect metal debris in system. Added test charge of freon. Found compressor would not activate. Unable to test for freon leaks as compressor would not turn on. – Note: It is slightly abnormal for the a/c compressor to be noisy given the type of failure. – Determined / Suspect; A/C compressor faulty and freon leaked out. Receiver drier damaged. – Recommends; Starting with replacing a/c compressor, reciever drier/ac kit, serpentine belt and performing necessary ac service. Then retesting for noise and freon leaks. Will advise if any further concerns are present.

Good. – Front brake pads at approximately; 8mm. – Rear brake pads at approximately; 3mm, 20% = Past Due. Rotors have lip / L3. – Found reverse felt slow to engage on slopped driveway. Transmission shifted well during test drive. Seemed less severe once vehicle was warmed up. Note: This issue may be an early sign of transmission failure. Inspected transmission fluid, found full and good. Scanned for codes found no codes. Recommend watching transmission for concerns. – Wiper blades don't clear windshield well / L3. Recommend replacing windshield wiper blades. – Scanned computer control module and found; No related codes. -TPMS light on. Had multiple codes for wheel sensors. Recommend taking to tire shop related to light and codes.
    • Technician raised vehicle in air. Removed right front wheel, RF fender liner, lower bumper cover, and radiator mounts to gain access. Removed and replaced the A/C compressor, belt receiver/ dryer, Expansion valve, service valves, O-rings and caps. Reassembled components. Charged system fully and added leak tracer dye. Verified the system is now working. Blows cold to 38 deg FH at center vents. Road tested and inspected for further leaks. No leaks or further issues found. Verified repair.

This indicates a low charge of freon/refridgerant. Recovered freon in system, had 0.3 lbs, system holds 1.12 lbs or approximately 17 oz. Charged system fully and added dye for diagnostics. Ran system and verified blowing cold to 39 degrees at center vent. Inspected with black light, found low side service valve leaking freon / L2-L3. – Determined / Suspect; Service valve leaking out freon. – Recommends; Starting with replacing both service valves and charging the system fully.

Vehicle drove well. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; Park assist unavailable. – Scanned computer control modules & found codes; CEM **B1B46-1C for right rear inner sensor, circuit voltage out of range **B1B48-29 left rear outer sensor, signal invalid **B1B50-1C left rear inner sensor, circuit voltage out of range – Tried to clear codes. Found codes **B1B46 and B1B50 returned right away. – Inspected & found; Park assist system equipped with 4 sensors. Found both outer sensors installed. Found both inner sensors were not plugged in/connected. Left rear inner sensor wire is pinched/sandwiched between bumper cover and new hitch (visible with small mirror). Attempted to connect non pinched disconnected sensors and found unable to do so without bumper removal, was able to get close to connecting but due to tight/awkward space was unable to make connection happen. – Determined / Suspect; Rear bumper will need to be removed. Disconnected sensors connected, possible replacement of pinched sensor may be necessary and possible programming of module may be necessary. – Recommends; Reattempting on own to install both inner sensors and/or taking to a body shop or dealer for this repair.

Measured internal resistance n rear 02 sensor. Spec is 3.3 to 4.4 ohms. Had 0.80 ohms. Monitored activity via scan tool, found no activity. Heated 02 sensor should turn on for a few seconds when vehicle starts, but it was not turning on. – Found bulletin regarding programming being recommended when replacing rear 02 sensor and these codes. – Determined / Suspect; Faulty rear 02 sensor possibly related to vehicle needing updated programming. Suspect no relation to gas cap being left off and 02 sensor failure. – Recommends; Starting with replacing rear 02 sensor (sensor2 bank 1) & performing necessary programming/updates.

Had helper drive vehicle in air on lift. Found the center support bearing in the rear driveline making noise / L5. Found bearing does not have play. – Determined / Suspect; Internal bearing failure of center support bearing. – Recommends; Removing rear driveline, then replace center support bearing.
    • Technician removed lower cross member to access rear driveline. Removed rear drive line. Separated front and rear section to access center support assembly. Replaced the center support bearing assembly. Reassembled and road tested vehicle. Verified repair. No further noises heard.
