    • TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Vehicle drove well. No concerns found with driveability. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None. – Scanned computer control modules & found; No codes. – Inspected & found; Bottom of rear differential assembly wet with oil. Raised vehicle in air on lift for better access. Found rear differential oil leaking from crack at fill plug. Note: A temporary type repair was performed prior but temporary fix now leaking. Rear differential assembly case has crack where the plug inserts. – Determined / Suspect; Rear differential case has crack / L4. Temporary fix not holding well. – Recommends; Replacing rear differential assembly and related components. Found new rear differential assembly not available. Was able to source used differential assembly.
    • TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 126,898 miles. Last service was performed over one year ago. – Engine oil level & condition; Dark / L2 -L3. Recommend performing oil service as it has been over one year since last service was performed. – Front brake pads at approximately; 10mm. – Rear brake pads at approximately; 6mm. Rotors have hot spots / L4. – Scanned computer control module and found; No codes. – Rear driveline, front u joint boot torn / L3. Recommend replacing rear driveline assembly. Found this part is obsolete and no longer available, unable to source new or used. Recommend sending driveline out to shop that can inspect and determine if it can be rebuilt. – Rust / L3 – L4.     • Technician removed rear wheels, brake calipers, rotors, rear driveline and rear spindles to gain access. Removed cover from used rear differential assembly, inspected gears, verified pattern set up is correct which indicates bearings are in good condition at this time. Fluid that drained out of unit was clean and in good condition. No concerns found with used assembly. Removed rear differential assembly. Installed used differential assembly with new rear differential mount and all available new screws and bolts. Note; Front differential mount not available & has been discontinued. Inspected customers front differential mount and found it to be in very good condition and fairly new looking. Reassembled all components. Filled rear differential with gear oil. Cleaned components. Test drove. Verified repair. Let vehicle sit in shop overnight. Reinspected next day, verified no leaks present. Performed additional test drives. Verified repair.

    • CUSTOMER REQUESTS THAT DIAGNOSTIC BE PERFORMED
    • TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Battery very weak. Opened hood to install jump box. Found alternator belt off pulleys and shredded. – Scanned computer control modules & found; No codes stored. – Inspected & found; Installed new alternator serpentine belt. After verifying all pulley's turn freely. Charged battery. ran engine. Verified alternator is charging. All warning lights on dash are off. Performed load testing on alternator, starter, and battery. All pass. Found old serpentine belt has multiple cracks in belt /L5 – Determined / Suspect; Old belt broke due to age and wear, causing alternator to stop and drained battery. – Recommends; Keeping new belt on alternator.
    • TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next LOF is/was due at 93,318 miles, overdue 1,555 miles by sticker. Recommend performing oil service if due. – Engine oil level & condition; No oil on dipstick. – Front brake pads at approximately; 4 mm or 30% rotors have hot spots /L2. Recommends replacing front brake pads and rotors. – Rear brake pads at approximately; 7mm – Scanned computer control module and found; No codes stored. – Coolant level is 1/2qt low. No leaks found recommends topping off coolant. – Transmission fluid dark/due /L3-/L4. Recommends drain and fill transmission service. – Rear wiper blade missing tip /L5. Recommends replacing rear wiper blade. – Due to vehicle mileage checked for tuneup / spark plug needs: Pulled spark plug and found spark plugs have /L2 wear. Recommends performing engine tune up soon, with spark plugs, throttle body, and fuel injection service.
    • Replaced alternator serpentine belt for further testing. Performed charging test. Found alternator starter, and battery all pass. Test drove. Verified repairs.
    • TECHNICIAN – Inspected & found; The passenger side rear seat back in the back is in the folded down position. Tried to bring to the up right position. The latch is not catching. Seems likes its not lined up with the striker. – Recommends; taking to shop for further diagnostic and repairs.
    • Technician performed transmission service and inspection: – Drained transmission fluid. – Inspected transmission fluid condition, found; Fluid very dark /L4 No debris found. – Filled with synthetic transmission fluid. Inspected for leaks. Road tested vehicle. Verified service. – Determined/Suspect; Fluid very dark would like to service again. – Recommends; Would like to service again in 15k miles due to fluid condition.
    • Technician performed oil service: drained engine oil, replaced filter and filled with synthetic engine oil. Inspected all belts, hoses, brakes and tire tread. Adjusted tire pressures. Road tested. Verified service. No leaks.
