    • TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Vehicle drove well and shifted well. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; Check engine and start/stop service required message. – Scanned computer control modules & found code; **P1404 for EGR valve close position performance. – Inspected & found; Followed fault tracing per code. Cleared codes per fault tracing. Reset adaption calibration to zero, found code repost within a few minutes of engine running at idle. Performed EGR valve self test, found valve opens and closes but does not close all the way. Reading should show 0% but shows 2 to 3%. – Determined / Suspect; EGR valve not fully closing, seat likely full of carbon or valve is internally faulty. – Note: EGR valve is currently on national back order of an estimated 4-6 weeks. – Recommends; Starting with removing EGR valve and cleaning pintle seat then retest. If code returns then the EGR valve will need to be replaced along with necessary coolant. (note: part is currently on national backorder)
    • TECHNICIAN – Inspected operation & found; No windshield washer sprayer action. Could hear pump running. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None related. – Scanned computer control modules & found; None related. – Inspected & found; Verified fluid reservoir full of clear water like liquid. Found main supply hose disconnected at driver side spray nozzle. Snapped hose back into place. Verified sprayer nozzles working. – Determined / Suspect; Components were not connected properly. Working once all components were connected. – Recommends; Draining out water in reservoir and filling with proper winter washer fluid.
    • BRAKE SYSTEM – INSPECT FRONT & REAR AXLE FLUID – INSPECT PCV VALVE – INSPECT SUSPENSION SYSTEM – INSPECT – [Inspect front suspension, tie rod ends, boot seals and replace if necessary.] CABIN AIR FILTER – REPLACE – Inspected and found full of debris / L3 = Due. Recommend replacing cabin air filter. ENGINE OIL – REPLACE – Inspected and found engine oil life counter shows 80%. Oil change sticker shows oil change is past due. Recommend changing engine oil if sticker is correct and oil service is past due. SPARK PLUGS – REPLACE – Inspected and found; Spark plugs worn / L3 – L4 = Past Due. Recommend performing engine tuneup with replacement of all spark plugs, necessary gasket, throttle body and fuel injection services. **Further Damage Possible**
    • TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 107,192 miles. – Engine oil level & condition; Dash counter shows at 80% oil life. – Front brake pads at approximately; 4mm, 30% = Due. Rotors have hot spots / L3. Components do not appear to be lubricated / L5. Recommend replacing front brake pads and rotors. **SAFETY CONCERN** – Rear brake pads at approximately; 2-3mm, 10-20% = Past Due. Rotors have hot streaking / L3. Recommend replacing rear brakes pads and rotors. **SAFETY CONCERN** – Brake fluid dark and dirty / L3 = Due. Recommend performing brake fluid service. – Rear wiper blade tip coming apart / L4. Recommend replacing rear wiper blade. – Left front tire has steel belts showing on inner tread / L5. Tread separation has started / L4. Front tread approximately 1/32.     • TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Unable to duplicate during first few test drive. Eventually did hear a squealing/squelching type noise / L5. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; Check engine light on – not related to this issue. – Scanned computer control modules & found; See previous diagnostics. – Inspected & found; Noise coming from front of vehicle. Had helper drive vehicle in air on lift. Found the center support bearing in the rear driveline making noise / L5. Found bearing does not have play. – Determined / Suspect; Internal bearing failure of center support bearing. – Recommends; Removing rear driveline, then replace center support bearing.
    • Technician removed lower cross member to access rear driveline. Removed rear drive line. Separated front and rear section to access center support assembly. Replaced the center support bearing assembly. Reassembled and road tested vehicle. Verified repair. No further noises heard.
