- TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Grinding type noise from front when applying brakes. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None. – Scanned computer control modules & found; No codes. – Inspected & found – Front brake pads at approximately; 3mm, 20% = Past Due. Front rotors have lip / L3. – Rear brake pads at approximately; 5mm, 40%. Rotors have lip / L2. – Determined / Suspect; Grinding noise is coming from front brakes due to worn and past due components. Rear brake are close to being due as well. – Recommends; Starting with replacing front brake pads and rotors. Also replacing rear brake pads and rotors now or watching and replacing rear when due.
- TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Vehicle drove straight with steering wheel straight. Did not pull or drift left or right. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None. – Scanned computer control modules & found; – Inspected & found; Verified front suspension components appear to be tight and good. No abnormal wear found on tires. – Determined / Suspect; Alignment appears to be fine at this time. – Recommends; Consulting with a tire/alignment shop if there are any concerns.
- TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 135,345 miles. Past due by sticker. – Engine oil level & condition; Full. Light brown / L3 = Due. Recommend performing oil service. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None. – Scanned computer control module and found; No codes. – Spark plugs worn / L3 = Due. Recommend performing engine tuneup with replacement of all spark plugs, throttle body and fuel injection services. – Transmission fluid dark / L3 = Due. Recommend performing transmission service. – Front and rear tire tread approximately 7/32. DOT code; 2016 indicating tires are approximately 8 years old and may be getting to the end of their life. Recommend taking to tire shop and consulting with tire shop regarding tires. **Possible Safety Concern** – Note: License plate on vehicle; 015QAG, references a 2003 Ford F150. Recommend checking with DMV regarding registration/license plate/vin match.
- Technician removed front wheels, unbolted calipers, cleaned, lubricated, and reinstalled caliper pins. Removed and replaced front brake pads and rotors, with lubricated backing plates. Reassembled all components. Reinstalled all wheels, torqued all lug nuts. Road tested. Verified repair.
- Technician performed transmission service and inspection: – Drained transmission fluid. – Inspected transmission fluid condition, found; Fluid dark red / L3. No concerns. – Filled with synthetic transmission fluid. Inspected for leaks. Road tested vehicle. Verified service. – Recommends; Performing future transmission services approximately every 30,000 miles.
- Technician performed engine tune-up. Removed and replaced all spark plugs. Removed air box and intake tube to gain access to the throttle body, thoroughly cleaned throttle body. Reassembled all components. Added fuel injection concentrate to the fuel system. Ran engine and cycled cleaner through the fuel system. Test drove. Verified repair.
- – Technician test drove vehicle and found; Vehicle drove well after repairs. No concerns. – Performed Charging system test and found; Alternator charging at 13.8 volts. Battery passed. – Date sticker on battery; 08/23. – Checked tire pressure of all tires on vehicle and found; Set all tires to spec of 35 lbs. – Inspected spare tire and found; At 35lbs.
