    • TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Driving car up hill to duplicate concern, found transmission shifted down and vehicle was bogging down. Transmission started to slip. Then transmission shifted hard and did not have 5th or sixth gears. Happened with cruise control on and off. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; Check engine light, TPMS light and service light on. – Scanned computer control modules & found; No related codes. – Inspected & found; Transmission fluid is full but very dark/L5 with a burnt smell. Line pressure is good until the 5th/6th drum is activated then looses pressure. This indicates an internal pressure loss. Most likely due to crack in clutch pack drum for 5th and 6th gears. – Note: Cv axle boots torn / L3. **SAFETY CONCERN** – Determined / Suspect; Transmission has internal issues and should be replaced. – Recommends; Replacing transmission assembly, TCM Programming, Rear main seal, CV axles and alignment.*** POSSIBLE SAFETY CONCERN ***
    • TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 210,363 miles. – Maintenance due light on. – Engine oil level & condition; Full and clean – Front brake pads at approximately; 6mm – Rear brake pads at approximately; ** 0MM = Metal to metal/below spec. Recommend replacing rear pads and rotors. Will need to inspect related to calipers and replace calipers if necessary. *** THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN – VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN *** – Scanned for codes and found multiple codes; ** P0300 Random cylinder misfire. – Inspected related to this code and found; Spark plugs worn/L3 = Due. Recommend performing engine tune up with replacement of all spark plugs, necessary plenum gasket, throttle body and fuel injection services. ** Further Damage Possible ** ** P0057 Oxygen sensor heater circuit low Bank2 sensor 2 – Inspected related to this code and found; Sensor is internally faulty/L5 -Recommend replacing both rear 02 sensors. **P0333 Knock sensor 2 circuit high input Bank2 – Inspected related to code and found; No continuity on knock sensor circuit. Sensor and connector are faulty. Recommend replacing knock sensor and connector. -Front CV axle boots torn and leaking grease/L3. Recommend replacing front CV axles with transmission repairs. *** SAFETY CONCERN *** -Rear struts leaking oil/L3 barely pass jounce test. Recommend replacing rear struts and an alignment. *** Possible Safety Concern *** -Hood support shocks are weak/L3. Recommend replacing hood support shocks. – TPMS light on on dash. Recommend taking to tire shop.
    • Technician removed rear wheels, unbolted calipers, cleaned, lubricated, and reinstalled caliper pins. Removed and replaced rear brake pads and rotors, with lubricated backing plates. Adjusted parking brake shoes, if applicable. Reassembled all components. Reinstalled all wheels, torqued all lug nuts. Road tested. Verified repair.
