- TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Vehicle drove well. Heard humming/grinding noise from back wheel area / L4, was worse with braking / L5. – Scanned computer control modules & found; No codes. – Inspected & found; ** Right rear brake pads metal to metal, 0% / L5. Rear left brake pads 3mm, 20% = Past Due. Rotors damaged / L5. **Front brake pads 5mm, no concerns found with rotors = Not due. – Recommends; Replacing rear brake pads and rotors. *** SAFETY AND DAMAGE CONCERN ***
- TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Front tires rub on fender when turning sharply / L5. – Inspected & found; Tires on vehicle are 275/55R20. Spec for vehicle is 245/60/R20. Snow tires. – Front and rear tire tread is 8/32. – DOT code on tires is 2417 indicating the tires were manufactured the 24th week of the year 2017. – Determined / Suspect; Tires on vehicle are 3 sizes too wide. Being to wide is causing rubbing on wheel well. Vehicle needs narrower tires to resolve issue. – Recommends; Taking to tires shop and have tires that are to spec put on vehicle.
- TECHNICIAN – Inspected operation & found; Headlights all working as designed in all settings. Lights are burning bright. Found both are level and at correct height. Lens appears clear and interior appears shiny and clear. – Determined / Suspect; No issues found or concerns. – Recommends trying to change from day time running light setting to regular headlight setting at night time to see if brightness changes. Possibility to try a different "white" bulb in headlights but no guarantee this well change things as we can't determine what is currently in lens.
- Technician performed oil service: drained engine oil, replaced filter and filled with synthetic engine oil. Inspected all belts, hoses, brakes and tire tread. Adjusted tire pressures. Road tested. Verified service. No leaks. Reset oil service reminder.
- TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 106,682 miles. By sticker vehicle is approximately 3,145 miles past due for oil service. – Maintenance due light on. – Engine oil level & condition; Full. Dark / L3 = Due, prior to service. – Front brake pads at approximately; 5mm. – Rear brake pads at approximately; See diagnostic details. – Scanned computer control module and found; No codes. – Due to vehicle mileage checked for tuneup / spark plug needs and found; Spark plugs worn / L3 = Due. Per mileage maintenance/Mitchell 1 guide. Spark plugs are due at 120,000 miles. Recommend performing engine tuneup with replacement of all spark plugs, throttle body and fuel injection services. – Transmission fluid dark / L3 = Due. Recommend performing transmission service. – Checked cabin air filter and found; Dirty / L3, full of debris = Due. Recommend replacing cabin air filter.
- Technician removed rear wheels, unbolted calipers, cleaned, lubricated, and reinstalled caliper pins. Removed and replaced rear brake pads and rotors. Adjusted parking brake shoes. Reassembled all components. Reinstalled all wheels, torqued all lug nuts. Road tested. Verified repair.
