- CUSTOMER REQUESTS THAT DIAGNOSTIC BE PERFORMED
- TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Vehicle drove well. Went on extended test drive up and down Mt Washington Drive. Felt a sinking type feeling in brake pedal once, while braking down a long stretch of hill/L2-L3 – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None – Scanned computer control modules & found; No codes stored in any module in vehicle. – Inspected & found; A technical service bulletin addressing this issue. It describes this same condition. Bulletin T-SB-0059-23 states this issue is felt when the Regenerative brakes switch over to the hydraulic brakes.There is a software update to adjust this feeling and resolves the issue. – Determined / Suspect; Software will need to be updated to resolve issue. – Recommends; Updating software in the Brake Actuator Control Module as outlined in the bulletin. Don't suspect any other issues will be found after this.
- TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is due at 51454 miles. – Engine oil level & condition; Full and clean – Front brake pads at approximately; 10mm – Rear brake pads at approximately; 8mm – Cabin air filter dirty/L3. -Recommend replacing filter.
- PERFORM PROGRAMMING DOWNLOAD FOR BRAKE ACTUATOR CONTROL MODULE AS PER BULLETIN # T-SB-0059-23.
- **Toyota ABS/brake actuator control module updates & programming performed by Madtech Diagnostics per bulletin. Invoice #3638. Scanned and downloaded all applicable programming needs for proper function. Updated to latest integration level. Performed extended test drive. Verified repair. No further issues found.
