- TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Heard light squeak when applying brakes from front wheel area / L2, was intermittent. – Inspected & found; Both front rotors have a ring/hot spot on rotors / L2 – L3. Verified all components are greased properly. – Alignment on vehicle felt fine. No concerns found with alignment of wheel or vehicle. – Recommends; Replacing front brake pads and rotors under warranty.
- TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 124,281 miles. – Engine oil level & condition; Full. Brown / L2. – Front brake pads at approximately; 8mm. – Rear brakes = Drum, not visible for inspection.
- Technician removed front wheels, unbolted calipers, cleaned, lubricated, and reinstalled caliper pins. Removed and replaced front brake pads and rotors, with lubricated backing plates. Reassembled all components. Reinstalled all wheels, torqued all lug nuts. Road tested. Verified repair.
