  • CUSTOMER REQUESTS THAT DIAGNOSTIC BE PERFORMED
  • TECHNICIAN: – Test drove vehicle, inspected transmission operation & found; Engine ran rough under acceleration or load / L5. Transmission shifting as designed. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; Check engine light flashing. – Scanned computer control modules & found code: **P0303 cylinder #3 misfire. – Inspected and found; Monitored misfire counters via scan tool. Found cylinder #3 had active misfires. Cylinder # 3 located on the passenger side rear cylinder. Removed coil and spark plug, found plug appeared fairly new (NGK) with light wear / L1. Swapped coil positions. Moved #3 coil to front cylinder on driver side-cylinder #4. Test drove while monitoring misfire counter via scan tool. Found misfire moved to cylinder #4 and a new code posted; P0304. – Inspected transmission fluid level & condition, found; Full and clean. No concerns found with transmission fluid. – Note: Found history showing vehicle was in prior for faulty ignition coil on different cylinder. Discussed with customer who noted they replaced the one bad coil at that time no all coils. Customer also noted they performed fuel injection service but did not perform throttle body service. – Determined / Suspects; Faulty ignition coil/s. ***NOTE: Bad coil is now on cylinder #4 **** – Recommends; Replacing all 6 ignition coils & performing throttle body service. ***FURTHER DAMAGE POSSIBLE***
  • TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – No LOF sticker found. – Engine oil level & condition; Full. Dark / L3 = Due. Recommend performing engine oil service. – Front brake pads at approximately; 10mm. – Rear brake pads at approximately; 7mm. – Engine oil pan gasket leaking engine oil / L5 (plastic pan). Recommend replacing engine oil pan, drain plug and performing necessary oil service. ***FURTHER DAMAGE POSSIBLE*** – Front wiper blades streaking / L5. Recommend replacing both front wiper blades. **Possible Safety Concern**
  • Technician performed oil service: Drained engine oil, installed new oil filter and filled with premium engine oil. Cleaned affected area. Performed courtesy vehicle inspection. Road tested. Verified service. No leaks. Installed next lof reminder sticker in window. Reset service reminder if applicable.
