- TECHNICIAN: – Test drove vehicle, inspected transmission operation & found; Vehicle drove and shifted well. Shifts through all gears and torque converter lock up as designed. – Inspected for dash lights and found; None. – Scanned computer control modules & found; No codes. – Inspected transmission fluid level & condition on dipstick, found; Fluid level full and fluid dark / L4 = PAST DUE FOR SERVICE. – Inspected exterior of transmission for leaks & damage, found; No leaks or damage. – Determined/Suspect; Safe to service, however fluid past due for service and may need a secondary fluid service to get back to ideal condition. Technician performed transmission service and inspection: – Drained transmission fluid. – Inspected transmission fluid condition, found; Fluid is dark / L4. No debris found in fluid. – Filled with synthetic transmission fluid. Inspected for leaks. Road tested vehicle. Verified service. – Determined/Suspect; Transmission is shifting well at this time. – Recommends; Servicing again in approximately 10,000 to 15,000 miles due to how dark the fluid was during this service.
- TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 85,984 miles. – Engine oil level & condition; Full and clean – Front brake pads at approximately; 7mm – Rear brake pads at approximately; 3mm (20%)= PAST DUE. Rotors have a lip / L3. Recommend replacing rear brake pads and rotors. ***Possible Safety Concern*** – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None – Scanned computer control module and found; No codes stored. – Spark plugs worn / L3 = Due. Recommend performing engine tune up with replacement of all spark plugs, throttle body and fuel injection services. – Left front sway bar link has a torn boot and leaking grease / L3. Recommend replacing front sway bar end links. **Possible Safety Concern** – DOT code on tires is: 0518, indicating tires are approximately 7 years old and may be getting to end of life. Tread approximately 8/32 front and 7/32 rear. Recommend taking to tire shop for evaluation.
- TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Minor squeak heard from steering column / L1. – Inspected & found; Noise comes from half way up the steering column. This noise is usually due to a seal that is difficult to access and not likely to create any problems or concerns. In most cases the noise tends to happen when vehicle is cold and goes away once warmed up. – Recommends; Returning to shop if any issues with steering arise or if noise becomes louder and more prominent.
- Technician removed rear wheels, unbolted calipers, cleaned, lubricated, and reinstalled caliper pins. Removed and replaced rear brake pads and rotors, with lubricated backing plates. Adjusted parking brake shoes, if applicable. Reassembled all components. Reinstalled all wheels, torqued all lug nuts. Road tested. Verified repair.
- Technician removed both front wheels to gain access. Removed and replaced both front sway bar end links. Reassembled all components. Test drove. Verified repair.
