- TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Clicking noise from rear when driving, went away when brakes were applied. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; None. – Scanned computer control modules & found; No codes. – Inspected & found; Right rear brake caliper missing the anti rattle clip, this is allowing the brake pad to moved back and forth in caliper. – Removed right rear wheel to inspect and found: Verified missing anti rattle clip and no issue found with brake caliper. – Recommends; Replacing rear brake pads under warranty with install of anti rattle clips. (under warranty – see ro#29379)
- TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 130,484 miles. – Engine oil level & condition; Full. Light brown / L1. – Front brake pads at approximately; 8mm. – Rear brake pads at approximately; 8mm. See diagnostic details.
- Technician removed both rear wheels, unbolted calipers, cleaned, lubricated, and reinstalled caliper pins. Removed and replaced rear brake pads, installed anti rattle clip. Lubricated backing plates. Reassembled all components. Reinstalled all wheels, torqued all lug nuts. Road tested. Verified repair.
