- TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; No concerns with driveability. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; ABS, Traction. – Scanned computer control modules & found codes; **C1145 right front speed sensor input circuit fault **U0452 invalid data received from restraint control module – Inspected & found; ABS wires to right front torn / L5. – Determined / Suspect; Broken wires. – Recommends; Replacing ABS sensor wires. ***SAFETY CONCERN***
- TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 79,606 miles. – Engine oil level & condition; Full. Light brown / L1. – Front brake pads at approximately; 6mm. Rotors have lip / L2. – Rear brake pads at approximately; 6mm. – Rear differential oil dark / L3 = Due. Recommend performing rear differential service. – Front shock leaking / L3. Worn on jounce test / L3. Recommend replacing both front shocks. – Front wheel bearings loose with too much play / L4. Recommend replacing wheel bearings and replace wheel seals. *** SAFETY AND FURTHER DAMAGE CONCERN ***
- Technician removed both front wheels. Technician removed and replaced front struts. Reassembled and road tested vehicle. Verified repair.
- Technician removed front wheels, brake calipers and rotors to gain access. Cleaned old grease from spindle. Replaced and packed new wheel bearings with fresh grease. Installed new inner wheel seals. Reassembled components. Cleaned affected area. Road tested and verified repair.
- Technician performed rear differential service: Removed rear differential cover and drained fluid/oil. Cleaned/removed gasket material. Cleaned out housing. Inspected pinion lash and contact pattern. Installed cover with new gasket. Filled with new fluid. Road tested and checked for leaks. Verified repair.
- Technician removed lower engine covers and loosened fender liner to gain access to broken/chewed wiring. Repaired wiring and connections. Reassembled components and road tested vehicle. Verified repair.
