- CUSTOMER REQUESTS THAT DIAGNOSTIC BE PERFORMED
- CONTINUED: Electrical connections feel loose. VDS/slip light on since no start issues have been going on. TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Vehicle started with no issues. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; VDC/SLP – Scanned computer control modules & found; ABS/VDC/SLP ** C1109 Battery voltage out of range ** C1163 Steering angle sensor circuit fault ** C1143 Steering angle sensor circuit fault -(These codes are caused by low battery voltage.) – Inspected & found; Under hood both battery cables were very loose and battery hold down was loose as well. Battery looks very new. Tightened down clamps and load tested system. The battery, alternator and starter motor pass testing. Performed parasitic draw and found no draw on system. Cleared fault codes and reset steering angle sensor. Road tested and codes did not re post. Vehicle starting very well. – Determined / Suspect; Previous battery may have been faulty but terminals and hold down weren't tight enough causing intermittent bad connections and losing power and issues are now resolved.
- TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – LOF sticker shows next oil service is/was due at 179,758 miles. Past due by sticker. – Engine oil level & condition; Full and clean – Front brake pads at approximately; 7mm – Rear brake pads at approximately; 5mm, 40%. Min thickness 3.5 to 4mm. Recommend watching rear brakes and replacing when due. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; TPMS light on. ** C1704 Low pressure left front ** C1705 Low pressure right front ** C1706 Low pressure right rear ** C1707 Low pressure left rear Found all tires were at 31 PSI. Set all to 36 PSI. Cleared codes and reset system. – DOT code 4122 -Front and Rear Tire tread at 9/32. – Spark plugs worn / L1 = Not due.
