Engine – Test drove and listened for noises and tested power. TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Vehicle drove well and shifted well. Burning oil smell present / L4. Front shocks felt weak and bouncy / L5. – Inspected for dash/warning lights, found; Check engine light. TPMS light. – Scanned computer control modules & found; ECM **P3449 for cylinder 7 deactivation control circuit Fault tracing for this code indicates replacing solenoid for cylinder deactivation (manifold removal) and/or possible lifter, cam or cylinder issues on cylinder #7. **P0532 for battery voltage low **P2504 for charging system output high Inspected & found battery appears fairly new, has date code of 11/23. Performed charging system test, all systems passed testing. Possibly history codes. Will need to attempt to clear codes then see if codes return. TPMS **C1504 sensor 4, C1503 sensor 3, C1501 sensor 1, C077 for low tire pressure. Recommend taking to tire shop related to TPMS light & codes. – No LOF sticker found. – Engine oil level & condition; Approximately 1 qt low. Oil dark / L3. Recommend performing lof & repairing engine oil leaks as noted. – Front brake pads at approximately; 7mm Rotors grooved / L3, hot spots / L3. – Rear brake pads at approximately; 9mm. – Brake fluid dark / L3 = Due. Recommend performing engine oil service. – Inspected for tuneup / spark plug needs and found; Spark plug worn / L3 = Due. Recommend performing engine tuneup with replacement of all spark plugs, throttle body and fuel injection services. – Inspected for timing chain needs and found; Timing chain area appears new. No abnormal noises or leaks found at timing chain area. – Inspected engine air filter; Good. – Inspected all seat belts & latches for proper operation. – Inspected all exterior and interior door handles for proper operation. – Verified cruise control functions properly. – Verified 4×4 function (if applicable): Lifted rear wheels off ground, then shifted and drove through all ranges. Found 4 high not working. This vehicle is AWD so 4X4 should be working at all times. 4×4 only working when in 4 lo and 4 lock. Recommend further diagnostics related to this issue. ***POSSIBLE SAFETY CONCERN*** – Inside of windshield very foggy / L4. When defrost is selected found steam coming from vents onto windshield / L1. (Coolant level low). Possible heater core leak/failure (behind dash assembly). Recommend further diagnostics related to this issue. – Coolant reservoir empty. Opened radiator cap and found coolant full in radiator. Found coolant in radiator contaminated with rubber pieces / L5. Recommend performing coolant flush and then watching coolant condition for further concerns. *** FURTHER DAMAGE POSSIBLE *** – Left rear window switch on master window switch taped off. Left rear window working from left rear door. Suspect master switch faulty on driver door. Recommend further diagnostic time related to this issue. – Transmission cooler lines leaking at radiator leaking / L2 -L3. Fluid full. Recommend replacing transmission cooler lines. – Front differential fluid dark / L3 = Due. Recommend performing front differential fluid service. – Front shocks felt weak & bouncy on test drive / L5. Fail jounce test / L5. Recommend replacing both front shocks. ***SAFETY & FURTHER DAMAGE CONCERN **** – Sway bar link bushings split open / L3. Recommend replacing both front sway bar links. ***Possible Safety & Damage Concern*** – Rear wiper blade tip missing / L5. Recommend replacing rear wiper blade. – Tire tread approximately; Front: 7/32, rear: 8/32. DOT code 4917 indicating tires are approximately 8 years old. Recommend consulting with a tire shop based on age of tires. – Muffler rusted / L4. Recommend consulting with an exhaust shop related to this issue. – Vehicle has rust concerns / L3. See
