- Technician performed oil service: Drained engine oil, installed new oil filter and filled with premium engine oil. Cleaned affected area. Performed courtesy vehicle inspection. Road tested. Verified service. No leaks. Installed next lof reminder sticker in window. Reset service reminder if applicable.
- TECHNICIAN – Test drove vehicle, inspected operation & found; Can hear a loud rattler noise /L4 front 25 to 50 MPH. – Inspected & found; With a helper, raise car in air and listened with stethoscope while they drove the vehicle up to 50 MPH. Noise seems to be coming from the center support bearing on the rear drive line. Verified nothing rubbing on he drive line. There is a loose heat shield but not causing a noise and not contacting anything. – Determined / Suspect; The rear drive shaft may need to be replaced to resolve issue. – Recommends TO START; Replacing rear drive line and test further if needed.
- TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND FOUND: – No LOF sticker indicating when last serviced. – Engine oil level & condition; Full, Drak/Due/L3 (Serviced today) – Front brake pads at approximately; 6mm – Rear brake pads at approximately; 4mm (30%), Rotors lip/L3. -Recommend replacing rear brake pads and rotors. – Engine oil leaks at base of cylinder head gaskets/L3. Recommend having Subaru specialists repair cylinder head gasket. – Air filter dirty/L3. Recommend replacing air filter. – Transmission fluid is dark/Due/L3. -Recommend performing transmission service. – Front struts leak oil/L3. -Recommend replacing front struts and alignment. -Front control arm bushings cracked through/L3. -Recommend replacing lower control arms.
